The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness (AIM RSN PCC), in partnership with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Philippines, held a roundtable discussion on Competitiveness on September 26, 2018 at the AIM. This forum is part of a series of SME-related events to be hosted by the AIM RSN PCC. This roundtable discussion seeks to (1) gather expert opinion on the enablers and barriers of innovation in Philippine SMEs, (2) identify ways to promote and encourage innnovation in SMEs, and (3) assess innovation's impact on firm competitiveness.
The discussants were Ms. Diane Eustaquio, Executive Director of IdeaSpace Foundation; Engr. Romelen Tresvalles, Supervising Science Research Specialst of the Department of Science and Technology - NCR; Dir. Jerry Clavesillas, Director IV of the Bureau of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise Development, Department of Trade and Industry; Ms. Sherill Quintana, President and CEO of Oryspa Spa Solutions, Inc.; and Ms. Rose Ann Camille Caliso, Research Associate at the AIM RSN PCC. Also present in the discussion as a resource person was Prof. Maria Elena Herrera, Professor and Chair of the Strategic Management Department of AIM.
