Institution and Economic Development, A Lecture of Prof. James Robinson

The AIM Policy Center, the public policy think tank of the Asian Institute of Management, in partnership with the World Bank, the Foundation for Economic Freedom and the Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Group will host a Lecture on Institutions and Economic Development by James Robinson. It will be held on 7 December 2012, from 3:00 - 5:00PM, at the First Philippine Holdings Case Room, Asian Institute of Management, Makati City.

James Robinson is a David Florence Professor of Government at Harvard University. In his lecture, Dr. Robinson will draw from his book Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty answering in particular why some nations are rich and others are poor. He will discuss the political and economic institutions that cause economic success and failure.
