Emmanuel M. Garcia is an Economist at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness (RSN-PCC). He handles the Center’s research initiatives on Competition Policy and SME Development. He has previously written about entrepreneurship, ASEAN conglomerates, Bureau of Customs reform, shared prosperity, and fear of crime.
Prior to joining AIM RSN-PCC, he was an Assistant Instructor at De La Salle University, where he taught introductory economics, mathematical economics, and econometric analysis using software programs. As a Research Assistant and Consultant to the Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies, he also did research on the cost of higher education in the Philippines, ASEAN-China relations, and ASEAN financial markets. He holds a Master of Science in Economics (2015) and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics (2013) from De La Salle University.
